Using scalable integrations to fuel a high-performance culture
Coming into the procurement process for a HRIS that could cope with Normative’s next stage of growth, the team already had a few ideas of what they were looking for. First up, they needed a solution that could flex with Normative’s evolving processes and growing headcount.
And second? They wanted a solution that could help build and scale Normative’s high-performance culture.
“At Normative, it’s crucial that our employees know what’s expected of them, what they need to deliver on, and how they can be in charge of their own development,” says Carolina.
When scaling, Normative looked at some all-in-one solutions initially, but found that they just didn’t match up to their vision for growth and development.
“We realised that we needed flexibility to connect the best platforms together through a centralised HR layer. Going with Humaans just made sense.”
“We’d built out extensive individual role frameworks around growth and development so that our employees can understand, follow and track their progress,” Carolina says. “To make an all-in-one solution work, we would have needed to adapt our frameworks to fit the system.
“That was when we realised that an all-in-one HRIS system was not what we needed — instead we actually needed the flexibility to connect the best platforms together through a centralised HR layer. Going with Humaans just made sense.”
Lattice is Normative’s performance management provider, and the integration between Humaans and Lattice was easy.

“Humaans makes it easy to connect our HR platforms together,” Carolina says. “We do one change in Humaans, and it instantly rolls over into the other platforms like Lattice. The integration of Humaans has been really successful for us and well received.”
Connecting and automating People processes to create a streamlined employee experience
Since implementing Humaans, Normative’s People team has had a lot more time on their hands to focus on what really matters — creating a great employee experience.
“With Humaans, we can automate our processes thanks to the integrations with our other systems. This is a huge time-saver for the People team.”
And across the company, the wider Normative team is a fan of Humaans, too:
“The managers at Normative are very positive about Humaans” Carolina says. “With Humaans, approving and managing time off is easy and quick. The Humaans platform already has preset functions that work with the added complexity of managing public holidays across the different countries employees are based in.”
Thanks to Humaans’ Tables feature and a simple-but-powerful reporting interface, Normative can update critical data and deliver insights to internal stakeholders in minutes. Plus, onboarding has become very easy.
“Humaans gives us confidence that nothing is falling between the cracks when a new employee joins.”
“In Humaans, we’ve been able to create a repeatable, automated onboarding process that triggers when we enrol a new employee,” Carolina says. “Everyone knows what’s expected of them when welcoming a new employee to our company. Humaans gives us confidence that nothing is falling between the cracks when a new employee joins.”
But if there’s one underlying theme as to why Humaans works so well for Normative, it’s the fact that it offers scalable and high performing integrations — meaning the team can plug it into the rest of their platforms and create a streamlined experience for People processes.

“Humaans enables all of our tools to work with the right information,” Carolina says. “It connects seamlessly with our other systems — that’s been a highlight of our experience. When we started looking for a HRIS, we wanted to find something that could become the foundation for our People processes as we grow. We think we’ve found that with Humaans.”
